73ASPL rivets are peel rivets with an aluminium head and steel mandrel and a large flange. Peel rivets are used for joining soft materials such as wood, plastics and rubber. When set, the rivet body is cut to form load spreading petals on the blind side. The large flange spreads the pressure of the rivet over a wider area, making it less likely to damage soft materials. The head diameter of these rivets is 4.8mm, with various grip lengths available.
